My bridal shower was a success!! They did a good job of making my vision come to life. The white table cloths, zebra print table runners, paper lanterns hanging from the awning...everything!!!
Everyone had on their white outfits!!! I was soooo happy, you know how some people just cannot follow instructions? :O) One of my friends almost didn't show up because she didn't have a white outfit. I just assumed that everyone had a least one white outfit, but I was totally wrong. Anyhoo I told her that I had some white clothes and told her to come over to try them on to see what fits. Needless to say she found something to wear. After she found an outfit I told her that she is one of my dear friends and I would have found something for her to wear one way or another. :O)
My sister & friend Kowana made sure that I didn't have to do a single thing. It was pretty hard for me not to do anything but I tried to relax. Almost everyone who RSVP'd came...2 people out of the 47 people didn't show up...I found out later that one of my co-workers was helping a friend evacuate from one of the many deadly wild fires that we are having in Los Angeles. Even Rickey's auntie & cousin came and they live almost 3 hours away; so I was pretty excited about that.
Let's see what else....the games were awesome. We had a bridal scavenger hunt with all sorts of items from tame (like bride and groom cake toppers and picture frames) to risque (like condoms, and libido pills) and we even had create a pair of panties for my wedding night. EVERYONE participated & had a ball!!! Some people even took it a step further and added a matching bra. I LOVED IT!!
Instead of having a winner for each game, the guests were given "money" and they had to auction for their prizes. You should have seen them!!! They were acting like they were going to get a car or something. Now some of the prizes that my guests were auctioning for were gag gifts, like a box of hemorrhoid cream and wipes and Summer's Eve feminine wash. It was too funny!!!
Hmmmmm...the food was awesome!!! and the sangria was the boooommmbbbb!!!!
