Details, Details... Honeymooners Saga Continues

I'm on the lookout for Zebra Print Paper Lanterns!!!

The bridal shower is literally around the corner (August 30th) & I am rethinking the tissue paper pom-poms decoration idea. Although I love the way the tissue paper pom-poms look, but for convenience purposes I like the paper lanterns. The problem that I ran across is that Cost Plus World Market is the only place that sells zebra print paper lanterns & 1 seller on Ebay that lives in HONG KONG!!! The zebra lanterns at Cost Plus cost $6.99 each and I would need 10 of them...that's 70 freakin dollars!!! I would still need turquoise lanterns and that might be another $70. Jeesh decorations can add up!! My sister (which is the Maid of Honor) & I are supposed to go the China Town in a couple of days to see what they may have to offer. I mean it is China Town right so we should be able to find some bargains.

Now I can go with my original plan with making the tissue paper pom-poms and that will cost about $60 total. That is half of what I would pay for the paper lanterns, but it would be so much more convenient to have the lanterns (which I can use again)! Okay so say I go with the tissue paper pom-poms....I'm a little anal when it comes to art projects and what if the girls cut them wrong or some look good while others look bleh (Martha Stewart makes things look so easy). What do I do then? I know I probably over thinking this whole process, but I want this to be a totally fabulous event (I mean who wouldn't)
